Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how FreelanceTeck ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use freelanceteck.com and our installable web app (the "Service"). We are based in the United States. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), country, time zone, the profile photo you upload (stored on our servers and shown on your profile and account menu) and plan.
  • Google sign-in: if you choose "Continue with Google", we receive your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. We do not receive your Google password and we do not access your Gmail, Drive or contacts.
  • Activity data: tasks, jobs, proposals, submissions, proofs and screenshots you upload, blog posts, products, orders, messages to support.
  • Payment data: deposit and withdrawal requests, transaction IDs, wallet balances and payout account details you enter (for example an Airtm email or a USDT TRC20 wallet address, which you can save in your profile for convenience). We do not store card numbers. Crypto transfers are recorded on public blockchains outside our control.
  • Affiliate and referral data: your personal referral code, who invited whom, which product links were opened (with a one-way hashed IP address), and the commissions and bonuses earned.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device and pages visited. We store IP addresses mainly as one-way hashes for fraud and abuse prevention, and to count blog views fairly.

2. How we use information

  • To create and secure your account, run your wallet and process deposits, withdrawals and orders.
  • To show tasks, jobs, blogs and products, and to send service emails (verification, approvals, payments, security notices).
  • To run the Affiliate and Referral programs: to credit the right member, apply program rules and stop self-referrals and abuse.
  • To prevent fraud, spam and abuse, enforce our Terms and meet legal obligations.
  • To improve the Service. We do not sell your personal data.

3. What other people can see

Your name is shown on tasks, jobs, proposals and blog posts you create. Job owners can see the name and email address of freelancers who send them a proposal. Your wallet balance, payout details, proofs and email are private and visible only to you and to authorized staff who need them to do their job.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms (security tokens). You stay signed in on your device until you sign out, so please do not stay signed in on shared computers. If you open an affiliate or referral link, we store a cookie (up to about 13 months) that remembers which member shared it, so that member can be credited if you buy that product or sign up. We use local storage on your device to save unfinished drafts and to make the app work offline. We may use Cloudflare for security and performance and, when enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots. We show advertising on blog pages. Advertising partners such as Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage ad personalization in your Google Ads settings or your browser.

5. Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service, such as web hosting, Cloudflare, our email delivery provider, Google (sign-in) and payment partners you choose to use. They may process data only on our instructions and for these purposes.

6. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Financial and audit records are kept as long as required for accounting, fraud prevention and legal reasons. Uploaded proofs may be deleted after a task is completed and its dispute period has ended.

7. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, access controls, rate limiting and private file storage. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and keep your email account safe.

8. Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile at any time. You may ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to close your account, by emailing [email protected]. Where required by law (for example in the EU, UK or California), you have additional rights, and we will respond within the legal time limit. Some records must be kept for legal reasons.

9. Children

The Service is not for anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International use

We serve members worldwide. Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version. Important changes will be announced on the site or by email.

12. Contact
